Bedroll

Foam mattresses are delivered rolled up. Mine came tonight at about 9:30, vacuum-packed in plastic.

What they don't tell you is that you practically need a pair of trauma shears to set it free.

And, "Oh by the way," said the delivery guy hustling away at 9:30 p.m. (with my old mattress), "You need to let it expand and breathe for at least two hours before you use it."

Now I know.

So, the Sultan Finnvik mattress is taking on air in my bedroom, while I sit in my living room and admire my lovely new front door, which also came today.

Ed's installing it tomorrow. The old front door that it's replacing will be moved to the back, where for the last six weeks or so, I've had this:
