Happy New Year Everybody

It's quarter after eight, the firecrackers have started up here in the neighborhood, and I'm spending my New Year's Eve on Restraint. I've decided to try to get it published, and began yesterday to tackle the massive rewrite that professional publication will require.

So, though I don't do New Year's resolutions, I do have a project and a goal for 2013. I'm hoping you'll all wish me luck!

And for my part, I wish everyone here a splendid new year. I've been less present in the LJ/DW 'verse than I'd like, but I follow a bunch of you guys on Twitter so I don't feel completely disconnected, and think of you way more than you might suppose.

Blessings and joy to all.

Happy New Year from the East Coast, where it's rather closer, and best wishes in 2013!

Thank you dear. You too! Ooh, I'm so glad I finally remembered to turn commenting back on here on LJ. My DW purism was cutting me off unnecessarily from friends.

Thank you! That anyone thinks so is encouraging; that you think so means the world.

Happy New Year!

I'm so very thrilled to hear that you're planning on getting Restraint published. It deserves to be published so that a lot more people get to read it. ALL THE BEST!!!!

Thank you for your encouraging support! I spent my New Year's Eve, right over into 2013, working on the initial restructuring, and...well, it's a big project, but it's started. The journey of a thousand miles, etc... :D

Is it going to be an e-book thing or a real book? I do hope it's the latter because I want it on my bookshelf!

My vision includes both. As much of a huge ebook aficionado as I am, I acknowledge that a printed book (and the backing of a real book publisher) is still the final arbiter of "legitimacy".

So keep that image in your mind for me! Beautiful cover, beautiful book design...

(and a movie deal or a BBC miniseries :D :D :D)

OMG YES!!!! Too bad that it's highly unlikely that Jensen and Jared would be starring in them ( yes, I want the movie and the BBC series both ). But I probably wouldn't mind Benedict Cumberbatch as Tristan. John is a bit difficult though. I can't think of anyone suitable to replace him!

It's hard to imagine anyone as handsome as Jensen was at 26, isn't it? Of course, I'll need to alter the obvious Jared and Jensen physical descriptions in the rewrite. Tristan will still be tall, and John will still be too handsome for comfort, but maybe I should fantasy-cast the series now with British actors, and describe the characters accordingly in the rewrite.

The way I figure it, the men who will play John and Tristan are currently boys of about 15 and 19. These things happen so slowly (and don't you love my certainty that they'll happen at all??)

Sadly, Bendy will be nearly old enough to play Uncle Martin by that time. But I can't say I dislike the mental image of him as Tristan!

That'll be for season 1. You'll have to have different actors for season 2 onwards! Omg, I do hope this story will get published and will catch the eyes of a producer or five *HOPES*
