I went shopping today

It was completely unplanned. My sister avventura1234 and I were in the car together, and decided on the spur of the moment to stop at a Macy's. She needed a black skirt.

Nothing in that store both a) fits me and b) looks decent, but I was in a good mood and said what the hell.

I came out of there an hour later with three beautiful new things to wear. From the regular size section OMFG.

Disclaimers: these items are all size XL, they were in the Expensive Clothes Department which is notorious for running large, they are all tops (I'm very broad below the waist and it will be ages before I'm wearing skirts and trousers in regular sizes), and they are all knits.

Claimers: THEY ALL FIT and THEY ALL LOOK GOOD.

Added bonus: they were winter-season closeouts and were marked so far down that Jones New York and Ralph Lauren were priced like Target. \o/

And I got earrings. Which, for a wonder, don't make my face look fat because...hah! My face isn't fat now (thank you genetic gift of losing squirrel-cheeks first).

So I made room in my closet by putting three too-big things into the donations bag, and now my three lovely new things are hanging there, becoming best friends.

Ralph Shawl, Ruffle Jones and Cable Cowl. Ralph's in charge. Obviously. (And yes, I'm very much a Winter.)

Clothes! I love them so. I didn't realize how sad I've been about not being able to buy the ones I prefer until I walked out of Macy's this afternoon with these. This losing-weight thing RULES.
